DESIGN
-
Where possible, we begin with a visit to the site and a conversation in person. These early discussions help shape an initial concept and direction.
From there, we can outline what’s required to prepare the site, identify any potential challenges, and talk through the broader scope of the project. Budget, aesthetic direction, and practical considerations are all explored at this stage, ensuring the design develops with clarity and purpose.
When a site visit isn’t practical — as we are Auckland-based — detailed photographs and video walkthroughs are invaluable. They allow us to understand the landscape, and shape a concept bespoke to your requirements.
-
At this stage, we focus on turning our conversations and site visits into a clear visual concept for your sauna. Using 2D drawings, we illustrate the layout, dimensions, and possible design options, giving you a tangible sense of how the sauna will sit in your space providing a clear framework.
We review the layout and overall aesthetic with you — refining proportions, materials, and details to ensure the proposal feels right and works for your needs.
-
Once the concept is confirmed, we provide a detailed estimate for your sauna. Because outdoor saunas can vary greatly in design and specification, having a clear budget helps guide the process and ensures the project stays realistic. At this stage, the estimate gives you a solid understanding of cost alongside the concept, so decisions can be made with confidence.
CONSTRUCTION
-
We require that any site preparation or groundworks are completed before we begin construction. During our initial consultation, we’ll discuss any preliminary work needed and outline a clear plan. In most cases, as long as the site is accessible and ready, no additional preparation is necessary.
We also ask that clients take responsibility for any due diligence, such as checking with neighbours if the sauna is close to a boundary or confirming any local restrictions that may apply. We are able to assist with this process if needed, as an additional service.
-
Our lead time varies depending on current workload, but generally sits around 6-8 weeks from initial enquiry. Most custom sauna builds take approximately 2–3 weeks to complete depending on the scope, though additional time is required to carefully develop the design and concept stage to ensure every detail is considered.
-
We provide a complete handover pack with necessary sauna heater information and warranties, plus a step by step guide to optimise your sauna experience, and to maintain the interior and exterior of your sauna.
