Abodo Sauna

This sauna was built using entirely Abodo Vulcan thermally modified timber, from the cladding, the lining, to the roof and wall shingles. Abodo Vulcan has incredible stability, in terms of reducing moisture absorption which means minimal, if any warpage. Also it has increased durability, is decay-resistant, free from chemicals, excellent thermal properties and has a wonderfully uniformed and consistent aesthetic. All fantastic properties for an all-weather outdoor sauna.

Our client based in Ponsonby, Auckland wanted to create a sanctuary within the garden, so the sauna has been carefully integrated into the existing swimming pool and spa area. A peaceful retreat within steps of the main house.
