After countless hours of discussion and numerous research trips around New Zealand, staying in the simplest of cabins and baches - each full of character and soul, and nestled in the heart of nature. These experiences inspired us to sketch out a vision for our first cabin, carefully considering every aspect of comfort, architecture, functionality, and the welcoming feeling of home.

From this humble beginning, Made by Hideaway has grown and developed. What started as a cabin-building venture in 2020, has now evolved into a specialist outdoor sauna company. Throughout this journey, we've maintained the same dedication to detail, craftsmanship, and quality, and now focused on designing and constructing the ultimate in luxury custom outdoor sauna.

Rick brings over 25 years of experience building high-end architectural homes across France, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, while Nikki, with her background in interiors, styling, and lifestyle management, ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
