About Us

Hideaway founders Rick and Nikki started hideaway after dreaming of buying a patch of land and building a tiny home and spending weekends away off-grid hiding away with their 8 year old twins Remy and Gracie.

After successfully Designing and Building their first tiny home and selling it they have since branched out to include Home Offices and Sleepouts and most recently Saunas.

Rick has over 25 years experience building high end architectural homes in France,UK,Australia and New Zealand. With Nikki’s background in Styling they have combined their shared passion or rather obsession for design to bring you meticulously handcrafted cabins and Saunas across New Zealand.

Most recently their focus has been on the health and wellness space, working on a deeper understanding of the benefits of sauna therapy and how they can finetune their design to create the ultimate space for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Rick and Nikki hope to keep bringing their unique designs to life and providing true value through design, quality service and affordability.
